Digital Public Infrastructure
Digital Public Infrastructure is an approach to solving socio-economic problems at scale, by combining minimalist technology interventions, public-private governance, and vibrant market innovation.
India has been on a fast-paced journey of Digital Inclusion and expansion since the turn of the 21st century. On a national level, the Government has been promoting multiple schemes to solve integral issues such as Sanitation, Healthcare, Skills Development, Agriculture, and more, from a socio-economic lens.
The goal of these initiatives have been to foster a culture of self-sufficiency and financial security through Value Creation and increased efficiency, bringing a majority of the Indian population under the ‘Economic Contributor’ umbrella.
A consequence of this has been the creation of a host of digital platforms and supporting technological stacks in silos/islands. Unfortunately, this impressive databank on hand is currently fragmented and not being used to to its full potential.
We at Shensoft imagine a seamless Digital Public Infrastructure network that spans the national spectrum.
The Shensoft Digital Public Infrastructure Framework is a proposal that seeks to unify these databanks—creating a foundational Data Hosting Layer.
This would create avenues to work with AI and utilize the information to its full potential, build a robust support network, and make quicker informed decisions with reduced leakages in the system—creating a faster, transparent, agile governance ecosystem.
